Review content:
We've been going to Henry's since shortly after it opened, back when Henry, his wife, and his kids (then very little) practically lived in the place. Henry's quickly garnered a following. (It's not uncommon to see license plates from 10 or more counties parked up and down the street.) Food is very good and service quick and friendly. Despite having to wait on weekend nights for a table, once seated, diners never feel pressured to finish up and leave. Henry, whose chef's attire gets wilder by the week, personally greets guests at every table with his trademark opening line, ""Welcome to my home!"" and keeps his wait staff hopping. (I hear that he's a perfectionist both in the kitchen and out front; his young waiters know that he will tolerate nothing less than their best.) Portions are above average and guests can make substitutions without getting annoyed looks from the wait staff: For example, for one of the pasta dishes,I always substitute linguini for the angel hair pasta, which can be overcooked and sticky in any restaurant. One evening, my husband and and I, as well as two other couples, made a meal of appetizers. We ordered two of each, sat back with our generous drinks, and enjoyed a tasty variety. I've never had ""room"" for dessert at Henry's, but my husband and our friends all rave about them, as the perfect ending to a perfect meal. Pros: Friendly service, good food, variety of price points to suit every wallet. Cons: Dining room can be a bit noisy.
