Businiess name:  Town Of Esopus Pt Ewen Library

Review content:
I LOVE my libraries but found my first visit to the Esopus library to be a disappointment. This is a taxpayer's place...not a private business and I really feel as a public servant, even a library clerk, they owe it to the visitors to be respectful and helpful. This was not the case when I visited last week. The woman behind the desk stared at me blankly, and gave me a little bit of a hard time about paying a fine for a book that was lost, which I was happy to do! She didn't want to go out of her way AT ALL to help make things word, was borderline nasty and disrespectful and it was just unpleasant. I hated to bother her and take her away from her magazine that she was reading instead of helping clients or maybe working around the library helping out...nope...I think she thought her job was to look up, check out, and then personally check out. What a drag. Pros: New; children and teen room Cons: very negative clerk
