Best Koubideh(it's that minced meat thing shaped kind of like a long sausage) in Atlanta. Shireen Polo(chicken chunks with rice, a few vegetables, orange rind, raisins, etc) is another great entree. They do a pretty good with the rest of the entrees. I did notice the flatbread varies from one Persian restaurant to another. Very different, but most of them are good. They serve unlimited hot flatbread which is nice. For lunch, they serve a soup that is great to have on a cold rainy day. My only bad experience has been the owner. Some big fat guy who looks like he could be an Iranian version of Tony Soprano just sits in a corner doing his own work on a computer. Whenever there are any problems, he has a weird way of handling with things. Once our waiter made the mistake of serving dinner equivalent of a lunch item and then charged us for the dinner price. When we pointed out to the server that we requested it from the lunch menu, he changed the price back to lunch. The owner then comes to our table and tells us that he will deduct the price differential from the waiter's pay. Very unclassy way to deal with the customer. It was 2 extra chunks of lamb. The server's mistake ended up in me getting 2 extra small chunks of lamb - probably a dollar in meat costs at most. For that, the owner ruined our mood as we left because we felt bad for the waiter. The owner should have handled it internally. Other times too, I just notice a bored looking owner kind of serving as a damper in the corner. Whenever a waiter forgets my table and I need more water, he just sits there without making sure a waiter is there for me even though he has seen me trying to flag down a waiter. I preferred the guy in suspenders who used to be the manager(?) presence in the restaurant a few years ago. Pros: Excellent Koubideh, decent lunch prices Cons: unfriendly owner
