Speed Unlimited of Clovis is a spin off of Speed Unlimited of Fresno which is shut down.
SU has a terrible reputation in Fresno County. In fact, they are a total joke. In fact, we predict that the State of California will soon shut down the Clovis sham.
Dan Bergan cannot operate under his own name based on prior business screwups. Dan has a serious chemical habit. You take you life in your hands having these fool work on your ride.
Ask anyone in town about SpeedUnlimited and watch them laugh silly. Then ask about reputation and work quality.....go ahead, ask anyone...
Ask about Ron Steebles and the laughter gets louder. Ask about Dan Bergan and they shake their heads. They always say the same thing, NOSE CANDY. Coke. Strange. Sloppy work and un reliable.
The BAR is investigating whether or not Dan is operating on his own or under the veil of the now closed SpeedUnlimited.
Dan does not pay his bills. He has stiffed prior landlords for literally $1000's of dollar of rent. He has abandoned customer cars when in business for himself. If and when he is not snorting his lunch, his work can be average. But with any flake, you never know....and with Dan, you never know. You want a flake working on your car?
Reputation is reputation. Make a few calls. Call the auto shops in town. Run SpeedUnlimited by them. Call the BAR. Do your homework.
The old SU closed. WHY? Reputation. You can re dress a pig but is still is a pig. Folks stopped going to SU because of their reputation and conduct. Ron Steebles is weird, Dan Bergan is just one of Ron's bitches he kept around because he got him cheap, and he put up with his nose candy usage.
Nose candy and car repair and reputation are hard to shake. Dan should stick with Jiffy Lube...but in no way would he ever touch a car of mine.
Call around reader. Call the VW shops in town. Ask about Ron Steebles and Dan.
When the laughter stops, you make your own determination if you want to be screwed. There is a long long line of ex customers who
know Dan.
Drugs....warranted work,. reputation, and history. All add up. AVOID.
