Review content:
I was at the emergency room last night, Sept. 4 '09, for severe back pain. I arrived at 4pm , and waited until 9pm without any attention from a doctor. It took two hours before the triage nurse would see me, just to note where my pain was. While skilled, she was too overburdened to and lacked the knowledge to identify potential seriousness of the condition. After five hours, I gave up and got medical help from my on-call doctor and the pharmacy. If the back pain does not subside and I need help to diagnose a serious problem or emergency medical attention, I am afraid for my life. I don't think that the emergency room in this hospital will get to me in time. Lack of accessibility to medical care rivals third world countries. Pros: TVs in waiting room, courteous receptionist Cons: Medical service unavailable
