Stationed here, hubby and I went looking for a Chinese Restaurant to frequent. I take a ""baseball"" mentality to eateries. I'll give it 3 trys: either you hit a homerun, or you strike out. I do this because any place can have an off night- it happens to everyone. Ginger House hits a homerun EVERY time !! Walk in the door,the ladies make you feel at home. The whole place is so clean (apparently a problem in most Asian places), and even the bathroom is spotless. Cloth covered tables, or cute booth like places on the side, and you don't feel shoved into a box. The food is fresh, and delicious--if you want it made spicy, they are happy to oblige. The portions are usually good sized-not chintzy . Scallops Szechun melt in your mouth !!The ladies check on you repeatedly, you don't want for anything. If you call in your order it's ready in NO time, the portions are healthy, and you don't have to wait additional time when you attempt to pick it up.Even if they're busy, the lady on the phone is helpful pleasant, and fast..And the orders are right - never had a screw-up. Walking in or walking out, Ginger House always puts a smile on our faces. I'm going to miss them when we go. They've become like friends. WARNING: if you like fastfood Chinese food, this isn't the place for you. This is a place with class.
