Review content:
I went to The Great Frame Up with two pieces to have framed. I had bought framing services before but only small, not very important pieces. I was astounded when they gave me a quote for over $1700 just for one of the pieces. So I investigated a bit and went to 2 other frame shops and had them quote on nearly exactly the same scenario. 2x matting, archival, museum glass, bold frame with some distressed gold leaf. I ended up paying only $374.58 for BOTH! Like I said the exact same thing for $1400 less. I asked the other framer why he thought The Great Frame Up was so over prices- he was puzzled and said that ""We all us the same materials"". Any way. The pieces look wonderful, are beautifully crafted and I saved myself enough to re-frame several more pieces. I've told this story to many of my friends and to be sure to avoid the grossly inflated prices at The Great Frame Up.
Pros: Nice People
Cons: Way, way, way overpriced.
