Make no mistake: this is no casual Santa Fe boite, despite the poorly attired tourists. The space is elegant, sophisticated and upscale. The servers and maitre'd are very professional and the menu is very expensive. Appetizers, which are called ""firsts"" are all in the double digits and the entrees run up to $40. But the meats and seafood are all fresh and exquisitely prepared and the portion sizes are perfect. I had a ""first""- the very decadent crab and mushroom risotto and I was completely full. However, the cocktail list was what brought me back the next night. There are four pages of signature cocktails that are absolutely to die for! I saw at least three that I would have tried if I could have but I stuck with the same one, both nights- the ""Q-cumber Cooler""- cucumber vodka, lime juice and a salted rim. On a hot Santa Fe evening, it's the perfect refreshment. I would recommend this as a pre-opera or celebratory place to eat and would not sit in the cantina because it's more of a pick up place. But the inside bar is a sophisticated little oasis with very nice views.
