Review content:
I am always eating out with my husband.\r I can't believe Il Gabbiano's calls itself and authentic Italian restaurant. The waiters try to all act Italian when they are not. When they realized we where Italian they would not know what to say. Then one waiter started calling me Bella. Excuse me? Where is there respect?\r The view is unique and spectacular. The ambience is great as everybody is there to be "seen". \r Real Italian food is done with fresh ingredients and not overpowering the flavors.\r The first time I went, I ate terribly. I had ordered the pasta and it had 20 garlic cloves and the sauce was tasteless and watery. However, I decided to give it a second chance. \r We ordered the Octopus Carpaccio and the Crabmeat and Avocado Cocktail. Fist of all I LOVE octopus carpaccio, I eat it all of the time.\r This Carpaccio was nasty and tasted fishy. They also sprinkled bells peppers on the carpaccio to hide the fishiness. The crabmeat cocktail has a piece of canned crab with a watered down version of the salsa rosada.\r Then we ordered the Scampi alla Francese. My husband and I always order scampi in Italy, so we know when they are fresh.\r These scampi had little black markings from when they have been frozen and are not are their best.\r I ate anyways as I was hungry.\r After we payed the meal I asked the hostess for a comment card. She told me that they did not have a comment card. I told her about how bad the food had been and she said "well I think it is weird as no one has ever complained". Instead of apologizing or something else she was contradicting me. \r Later on I got sick to my stomach. I am still trying to shake off the disgust of having eaten there...\r I am pissed off at myself for having gone back.\r Why did I have to be so stupid and go back?
