With new ownership and management this hotel has seen an amazing improvement from the general neglect of the previous owner. It is no longer a Ramada Inn. It is now The Riverfront Resort Hotel, and it certainly has a resort feel with an indoor pool, a small marina with 40 or so boat slips, and a nice restaurant and banquet facilities. All of these amenities you would think would come at a premium, but not so at this mid-priced hotel, with prices ranging from 75 to 100 dollars a night. The staff has definitely paid close attention to improving the quality of a stay. From the cleanliness of the rooms, to the great service at the front desk during check-in/out. If you are up for some recreation, there is quite a lot to do in the area. If you like hockey, you could start by going across the parking lot to the Richard G. Lockwood Ice Hockey Center. Here they host a number of different hockey tournaments. Also of interest in the area is the Remington Museum housing the many works of an American icon. Fort La Presentation is very close too. If historic battle reenactments are your thing you can see them here. Add to this list being within minutes of many Canadian attractions, you are sure to be able to find something that appeals to everyone. I really look forward to going through the area again so that I can stay at The Riverfront Resort Hotel again. Hopefully next time will be more pleasure than business, so that I can relax with some of the boaters at the marina or experience more of what this are has to offer. Pros: Indoor pool, marina, restaurant, helpful staff. Cons: Bar was not open, but is set to open very soon according to management.
