I used to love this place...good burgers, boyfriend hates it (bad service) but humors me by going occasionally..... but now I will never go back. Last night they were quite busy, we walked in and asked if there was anything outside, the girl who was seating people made a face and said NO, sit anywhere inside. Ok, so we chose a very visible table and sat waiting for our server...waiting and waiting and waiting 10 minutes went by, other people were seated, given drinks, another couple even was seated outside?? I unsuccessfully tried to flag down servers several times. Finally we asked the girl who had seated us if we were in anyone's section...she went to the bar and the servers all just starred at us confused, even though every one of them walked past us a dozen times. I smiled and waved at the girl who seemed to be our server and she actually frowned and glared at us.... that was the last straw so we left after almost 15 minutes of NOTHINGNESS. Went to the Cafe Affton where they were just as busy, if not more so and had picture perfect service and delicious food. Contacted owner and she made excuses and explained why this happened, and had this to say ""Normally I would offer a gift certificate and ask the customer to give us another try, but at this point it does seem pretty useless to do that."" .....Funny thing is, I probably would have given them a second try if she had actually offered the certificate, as her appology was sincere and explanations made sense but now I just feel ackward by the owner having basically told me I would make it up to you but you don't like us so nevermind.
