Review content:
I think it's crazy that other reviewers try to blame all of the negative reviews on cost. Yes, many reviewers do mention the price, but I don't believe for one second that it's the reason they give such a low rating. They are only saying that FOR WHAT IT COSTS, the food here is simply MEDIOCRE. I would guarantee that the majority of people who eat here know in advance that it won't be a cheap meal(and can afford it)....and I'm sure that all of them wouldn't care about the cost IF THE FOOD WERE GOOD! You are paying to see celebrities eat dinner. Don't get me wrong. I am not saying the food is horrible, but I am saying that some of the dishes were not good (no one wanted to eat them) and that none of the food is memorable. This is not coming from someone who cared how much it cost...it's coming from someone who knows good food and has had amazing traditional and non-traditional chinese, japanese and pan-asian food all over the country.......The best part of the whole night was seeing Sandra Bullock who gave my son her autograph (which made his night)....you come to Mr. Chow for the ""celeb"" experience....and that is it. We left hungry but still enjoyed the scene. Can someone please explain to me why celebrities would frequent such a mediocre restaurant? I just don't understand it. They could have whatever food they want (there are some amazing restaurants in Southern California)...why here? I wish a celebrity would read this review and anonymously explain why they like it...or, do they just pretend to like it? Maybe this is how they stay so thin....yes I'm being sarcastic....but maybe there is some truth to that. Ugh, I would never gain weight if I ate at restaurants like this one.
Pros: You won't gain weight...Celeb hot spot (if u care about that)
Cons: The food is just not good...period!
