Review content:
I am very displeased with the staff and dentist at gentle dentle in the porter square location. I have been in the office three times, and all all three times I have had problems. The first time was for a teeth cleaning, which I scheduled and the hygenist turned me away b/c I needed a note from my doctor, but no one told me I needed a note from my doctor (which I later found out is an outdated law anyhow, and it was not necessary). To make up for their mistake, they offered me my next teeth cleaning for free, which was very generous. The second time I saw the dentist and he recommended that I have 9 of my teeth filled at about $180 each b/c i have ""deep grooves in my teeth and i might get cavities"". I'm 29 years old and I've never had a cavity in my life, and after talking to my dentist at home, I realize this was just a dirty trick to try to bring in more business for their office. A good dentist should know your history and wouldn't recommend something so ridiculous for someone without a history of cavities. Note that he also knew I was a student with no dental insurance and they also tried to sell me a whitening procedure. Then my third visit, I went in for my ""free teeth cleaning' I got from my first visit, and they refused to offer the free cleaning. The office manager was very rude, argued with me for a long time, until they realized they were mistaken (again), and finally after 15 minutes of arguing honored my free teeth cleaning. However, they offered no apology for making me argue and kept pushing me to make another appointment. After their mistakes, bad attitude and bad ethics, I will never make an appointment there again.
