Review content:
Verde bills itself as modern and chic, but offers no vegan menu items. My wife and I were appalled when the waiter offered to bring us a plain salad as an entree after we pointed this out. A salad is not an entree for non-vegans so it should not be difficult to understand why vegans would expect more. I expect more from the restaurants I patronize. I would love to be able to eat at Verde as I live very close and the ambiance seems nice but offering a bowl of lettuce in lieu of providing vegan options doesn't show any deference to vegan patrons. If you want vegan, there are several restaurants in Durham that do respect you enough to provide you with menu items.
Pros: atmosphere, location
Cons: limited menu, no vegan items
