Review content:
I was a little hesitant to take my mother and brother there this evening, based on some of the reviews I'd read, but to my shame, I did. In a nutshell: 1) Waitress didn't know the menu - couldn't understand the names of the items in italian as read off the menu, wasn't sure if certain dishes were hot or cold. Thus, my mother had to send her appetizer back, being exactly the opposite of what she was told it would be. 2) My appetizer was weird. How you can screw up carpaccio is beyond me, but screw up they did, and my stomach paid for it about three hours later. To be specific, it was overly-cold and had a strange chemical taste, and shortly thereafter made a dramatic, hurried exit from my person in a hastily-sought restroom in midtown. 3) My entree, the skirt steak, was uninspiring and bland. 4) The mother's entree, the lamb, was tired, huge, and apparently met its death by boredom. 5) My brother loved his entree, the veal, and it was quite terrible also. Maybe anytime my brother likes something should send up a red flag.
Pros: walls, ceiling, other examples of proven architecture
Cons: food, service, rectal thunder shortly thereafter
