I've been eating at this cafe since 1989 and I now live in Austin,TX . When I return to town for the holidays or business I always make it a point to stop in with family or co-workers from Austin.I always talk about growing up on this place and the atmosphere it has.Great food, silly music and the same witty employees. Over the last 10 years the changes have been great remodel, staff, the area has grown so much. The last few years I don't see the same faces, the attitudes have gone down hill, the place is a mess and the atmosphere isn't what it use to be. Boring food and the place was messy. After today I've had my last meal here after saying "" One more chance"" over the last few years. I even tried the new one in Universal City on the way to Austin with fellow workers. This was even worse. Bad service, the food wasn't made like I remember it being a few yrs ago.It was nowhere the caliber of food the Blanco location once was. It's a shame to see this to a once great establishment turn out like this. It seems to me the staffs and I guess the owners ,new maybe,can't keep up the old longhorn cafe way's of making once great food,or just don't care. Sorry to be the one to say so, but 16 yrs. people start to notice these things. I know I'm not the first to notice.
