Review content:
A few years ago my air condition system needed to be replaced. I got four bids. Eventually, I wound up purchasing the unit with Advanced Energy. During the course of my bid seeking, the company who originally installed the unit also bid. I did background checks on all of them. The original installer did NOT have a good reputation, andl, in fact, we found (and verified) that his installation did not meet certain code requirements. Don't ask HOW he got away with that... UPDATE: The company was sold and the new owners are not like the old. Called for the air conditioner, I was out of town and a relative was at the house, I left a blank check. I got back, found that they didn't call back, he had to call three times, took them a week during that HOT week to get there and charged me over $300 for a capacitor! I'll never do business there, again. It feels like doing business with a conglomerate, rather than the nice people who USED to own it. Advanced put it to code... we had to upgrade the system to match the square footage. Since then, I have had them out here a few times for heater issues. Each time, they have been quick to respond, have always had the proper parts on the truck, and explained in great detail what the problem was, and how it would be fixed. Each service tech that came out had many years of experience, which is important to me. Most important, however, is their honesty and reliability. I have no idea if they are the cheapest in town, nor do I care, at this point. I get great response and service. What else is as important when you live in Wisconsin and the heat goes out? To try and save $10 or whatever.. is of little value to me. If you want a great company who stands behind their products, has great knowledge of the products they sell and service and gives you fast response and reliable service, this is your company. NO, I am NOT related to anyone at the company. I simple a very satified customer, after many years.
