Review content:
in the words of J. kRISHNAMURTI real life is doing something which you love to do with your whole being so there is no inner contradiction, no war between what you are doing and what you think you should do. life is then a completly integrated process in which there is tremendous joy. That being said, I work hard all week and when I pass the threshold of SOME LIKE IT HOT I am in complete peace with the choice I made to be there, and through practice in that sacred space I touch upon liberation from the mundane. I started with Bikram, and I look forward to my Bikram Yoga classes as SLIH. the teacher Kathryn has guided me in a soft, open, caring way-not like the BYC of India's throughout the city who force you to practice on swampy, bacteria ridden carpet and who yell at you for having a sip of water of having to pee.She teaches Bikram's sequence pure because she believes in it and the healing benefits of the series. she's just lovely, and even demonstrates sometimes for us, which no other Bikram teacher will do. I know, Ive been around. Her goal is self-actualization for all, not an impossible concept especially when we can experience stillness and a pure mind through asana.I also practice hot vinyasa, and Steven Chang with his Dharma Mittra influence and hot vinyasa flow is truley a great addition to the teachers roster. His class is polished and he teaches from his heart. If an asana is too tough he gives options; if the posture is too easy-quess what? he gives advice on how to go deeper. Paul Tong is very strong man and hot with his flow-lots of arm balances but also a serious vinyasa flow culling from various traditions. Halle Bekker really will rock you with her power hot vinyasa taught from a beautiful heart while she imparts wisdom and also a rocking playlist!. Micheal Mcardle has a fun approach pulling from various methods all leading to one result: your body and mind better for the experience.as for Yola Romeo, I can tell you this much: the woman has a serious kick butt athletic class and you shouldnt be scared of her. students leave her classes all the time talking about how they never experienced someone who cares so much about thier alignment. I wish compassion would start as soon as we enter the space. if we see someone hurting do not add to their pain. come for the yoga. detach from the drama. then you will love what you do, and out of that love there comes an extraordinary feeling of creativeness. Pros: hot variety, BAMBOO floor! beautiful oasis
