So, this tucked away little strip mall place is definitely worth trying. The ambience and atmosphere is by no means special, by no means a 'high line' restruant, but SO much better food than most of the corporate owned chains (okay, you got me, I LOVE the Armadillio). I have tried everything on the menu here, I think litterally. The tacos el carbon, the taquitos, and chimi are all excellent. My fave, by far though is the a la carte steak and bean burrito. If I am really hungry, will get with a crispy chili relleno and a tamale (a LOT of food). The steak and bean, I CRAVE on occasion and have to go get one, the marinate they use for the steak is just outstanding. Chips are 'real', the salsa is not too hot, not too mild and very tasty. They can accomodate a large group, have a full bar, etc. The best thing though is the green chili. They will make it 'extra hot' if requested (they just slurrey a fresh jalepeno and blend it in). Truly I think the best I have ever had. Service is acceptable and can get in and out on a one hour lunch break. It is not the easiest to find, but worth getting to. Again, not an ambience restraunt, great food, decent service, and priced appropriately.
Pros: Awesome chili, great food, reasonable price, clean
Cons: not a place to 'romance' a date, but the food makes up for it.
