Review content:
Eastern Athletic is a pathetic excuse for a high-end gym. they charge nearly $100/month but the facilities and service provided are of a $60 dollar a month gym, which is what makes this place so frustrating. A renovation that was supposed to last 6 weeks has lasted nearly a year, with paying customers subjected to dust, fumes, noise, and workmen everywhere. Each year they close for ten days of ""annual maintenance"" (no pro-rated break in dues for customers!) and then when it reopens it looks exactly the same. For a long time they've been the only show in town for Heights residents but with an equinox opening shortly on Joralamon street (same price as eastern pathetic), this gym could be shutting its doors soon. Unless you play squash, steer clear of this gym. they don't value their members and it shows!
Pros: location location location
Cons: terrible value, indifferent attitude toward members
