This has been and always will be one of my favorite restaurants! I have been going to EDO's since I was about 7 and miss it so due to relocation. The wait can be long but there is a bar where you can sit and have a few drinks while waiting. Yes you may have to sit with strangers while you enjoy the good food, chef and show (watching the chef make your food is a show in itself) but it'sgood b/c you get to meet new people, sometimes from around the world. The best part is when you tell the host that someone in your party is having a birthday! All the chefs come out and sing Happy Birthday in Japanese (sui, sui, sui,....hahaha) and they take your picture and you get to bring it home to show off as a great memory of great food and entertainment. Even other diners start to sing even if they do not know you! Excellent place to start off a first date due to plenty of conversation pieces availble to help break the ice! Can't wait to go back to NY to eat there again and will take my kids there as mine have also taken me and my sister there too! Pros: The Happy Birthday song is the best! Cons: The wait is a little long but worth it!
