The people at Poor Folks will write your information down wrong, and when they don't show up to your scheduled appointment, they will lie and say that they had scheduled you for another day. I had originally set up an appointment with them to replace my windshield because they had given me the cheapest quote around---$205 to replace the windshield on my 2010 Hyundai Elantra. The appointment was scheduled for 1:00 pm on a Wednesday. Before the appointment, I had a couple of questions that I wanted to ask, so when I gave them another call, I found out that they had written down nearly ALL of my contact information incorrectly. For instance, the street number to my house is 6016, but they had written it down as 60116. They also thought my phone number was another customer's number! The lady that I was talking to said it was wrong because the guy who took down my information ""just got back from his winter vacation"" and ""his mind was still on the ski slopes."" I'm not kidding. On the day of my appointment, I waited 2 hours for someone to come, but no one showed up. I finally called them, and the man who answered told me that they had written me down for 1:00 pm ON THE NEXT DAY! I told him that my appointment was supposed to be for today, but he said that he doesn't know where the man who was supposed to do the job is at, which makes me think that the man on the phone was lying about the date of my appointment in order to cover up for the coworker that was supposed to do the job. So he rescheduled me for 1:00 pm for the next day, and he said it would cost $225, twenty dollars more than what they had said previously! I told him that they originally said it would only cost $205, and he said to me, ""Hmm?yeah?I suppose we could do it for that."" This incident made it clear to me that they will try to make extra money off you any way they can. What happened the next day? THEY NEVER SHOWED UP! They tried to call me to tell me that they needed to reschedule AGAIN for some other time, but by then I had already decided to cancel the appointment and go with Atlas Auto Glass (www dot atlasautoglass dot com). They are a brick-and-mortar shop that have a little higher pricetag, but our MUCH more reliable. Highly recommended!
