Review content:
I took my car in for inspection. They told me it would require $650 worth of work on the front end to pass. I told them to flunk it and I took it to my mechanic. He said there was nothing wrong and no repair was necessary. In addition, it had a serious oil leak which Merchants failed to detect. The oil filter was loose and he had to add 4 quarts of oil. The last place to change the oil was this Merchants. Without having any repairs done, I took the car to another inspector who passed it. I called the service manager at Merchants and asked him what he thought. He said it was unfortunate. After some prodding his only offer was to refund my inspection fee. He didn't even ask my name so that he could research the situation and deal with his inspector. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS MERCHANTS.
