Two years ago, my then 9 year old, was struggling with headaches, backaches and sleeping issues. Through 80 painful billion tests, it was unearthed that he had some medical issues. He had the beginnings of Tethered Spinal Cord syndrome.The solution of the medical industry was to prescribe my happy little boy with an adult anti-depressant to calm his headaches and offering no other alternative. He was no longer allowed to play outside as the medicine made him overly sensitive to sun. His metabolism stopped and he gained weight making him at risk for juvenile diabetes. He was emotionally a vegetable. It was disgusting. I weaned him off of the medication and for the last year have been searching for an alternative. Chiropractic was not even on my list. In fact, his pediatric neurologist stated that chiropractic was not a option and could harm him even more.
