Review content:
It's hard to walk into the main dining room at Tavern without gasping. The cozy velour couches, trees that reach up toward the canvas-lined ceiling, and rustic touches that lend the restaurant a familial quality, all make it hard to leave the ambient space. It's a place to linger long after the final bite of the formidable ""Snicker's Bar"" dessert, a place to sip mimosas and nibble monkey bread over brunch with the girls, and a place to go when a special occasion is on the calendar. The only caveat is the food, which sounds impressive on the menu, but lacks the ""wow"" factor in execution. Fortunately, the rest of the Tavern package more than compensates for any disappointment encountered on the pristine white plates.
Pros: Atmosphere, ""Snicker's Bar"" dessert, monkey bread
Cons: Service can be slow, food only above average
