Review content:
-Buyer Beware-
I read the first review of this company posted here. What a bunch of bull. (Probably posted by the shop owner himself.)
First, if you get the nice young girl to help you, you'll get five star service. (So this review is half praise and half damning.)
Here's my experience:
The shop owner (an older guy) is a real jerk. He will act professional when other people are in the shop, but when the other customers leave....
I came to him after he sold my wife:
1 - Pearl Gouramis and some other small tropical fish.
Long story short, the Gouramis (normally a peaceful fish) killed all the fish except the really small ones.
Now, to be fair, I know that it is not reasonable to hold someone responsible for the temperament of a fish they sold, but it is also not the fish owners fault.
So the shop owner agreed to give me 50% credit for the fish. (Keep in mind this was while in earshot of other customers.)
Note: We are only talking about $10 worth of returned fish, so a 50% credit is only $5. (Shouldn't be a big deal, right?)
Well, after other customers leave, he starts to ring me up. Here he starts to rattle off a number of excuses why he can't honor the deal HE JUST MADE.
Now a little frustrated, I say: ""So are you going to going to give me the 50% credit like you said you would?""
He said no, and continued to make excuses.
Frustrated, I just said, ""Have a nice day and left, never to return to that store.""
Moral of the story: ""Don't expect this business owner to care about customer service, or honor any warranties. If he stiffs me on a $5 transaction, what should you expect on anything larger?""
I recommend ""petco"", ""petsmart"", or ""Fish Aquariums & Stuff""
