I took my dog in for a routine dental cleaning, and while he was sedated I asked the doctor to use his discretion about removing some bumps (2) that he had. We had discussed these before and had decided they were probably fatty deposits. Frankly, I did not think they would remove them. Anyway I picked my dog up and he had 4 places that he had stitches and had places removed. I was very surprised but I thought if the doctor thought they needed to come off then it was ok. I spoke to the doctor and he said they did not look like anything to be worried about but he sent them off for a biopsy to be sure. He said ""I have been wrong before"" so I thought well ok, then he said to call back to check the biopsy results in a few days. I called several days later and on my 3rd call was told that the samples never went to get biopsied. and they would refund the price of the biopsy. My feeling is that the doctor should have called when they decided to take the places off, and surely should have called when they failed to get biopsied. But he never did.
