Review content:
I called this outfit a couple of weeks ago when I needed some urgent work done, at a time of day that their website said they were open for business. I was just a potential customer calling and politely inquiring about service, but the person who answered the phone was ABOMINABLY rude and unprofessional, and actually hung up in my face TWICE. I later spent over half an hour on Google trying to find contact info for Dial One, but it's like they're trying to hide or something-- they even let one of their franchisees in Indiana beat them to using dialone as a website. Huh?
I drive an entertainer coach. My artist was in town to do a show, and I had a small window of opportunity to get some needed carpet cleaning done while everybody was off the bus for a day off. It was 10 a.m. Sunday morning, and I myself was working, like it or not. According to Pittman's website, so were they-- Sundays from 8 to noon. Here's how my attempt to do business with them went:
Pittman: Hello?
Me: Hi, is this Pittman's?
Pittman (nearly shouting): HELLO, IT'S SUNDAY, IT'S FATHER'S DAY, HOW CAN I HELP YOU???
Me: I've got some urgent carpet cleaning I need done, and... [Never mind, he already hung up in my face.]
A minute later, I noticed their number in my caller ID as a missed call somehow, so I redialed:
Me: Hi, did you call this number?
Pittman: NO I DID NOT. [*click*-- hung up in my face again]
To a customer, the whole point of using the services of a big franchise system is its standardization-- a company that has reached a regional or national status has set up a standard of performance for all its affiliates to adhere to, and has some kind of central leadership to keep those people accountable. If one of Dial One's franchisees will behave like this, and there's no way to complain to Dial One itself, what's the point of using them at all? I can't imagine even the most fly-by-night mom-and-pop operation treating a potential customer the way I was treated.
Cons: Unbelievably rude and unprofessional
