Review content:
My family and I were recently fishing in the waters around Key Largo, specifically over the Bibb wreck. There are two buoys for fishing or diving vessels to anchor to. I pulled up to one, and a diving vessel pulled up to the other. As we began to fish, another diving vessel, owned by Garden Cove Divers (aka Key Largo Dive Center), pulled up and saw the two buoys were occupied. Rather than leave, the captain pulled the boat up 20 feet from our boat and let the divers off. The divers then swam around and under our boat, ruining our chances to catch any fish. When confronted about this, the captain was oblivious to us fishing. I called the phone number on the boat and complained to one of the personnel in the office. She said she would contact the capitan. He drove back to us and said he was scheduled to be there, our fishing didnt matter to him. While he was by our boat we gave him a piece of our minds. His divers were directly under our boat and the bubbles were coming up all around us. NO fish were caught. Three days later I called the office and spoke with a supposed officer of the company. It was their belief that no wrong was done and they had a right to be there regardless of any fishing boat. In my opinon, these actions were not safe for the divers and extremely rude to other boats using the STATE supported resource. The FWC was notified with photo proof.
