As a new business investor, I was saddened and offended by the Plymouth, MN area agent for United Properties. When calling to inquire on lease space from 3200 sq ft. to 4500 sq ft., I found myself dismissed after a few minutes on the phone due to the fact that I am looking to open a business in the pet services area. I was told that UP is experiencing brisk rental business and they are not interested in my field. Unfortunately - the UP rep took no time to qualify me or my business - but rather made apparent assumptions and expressed no interest in working with me. He offered no other suggestions so I requested another contact who may be interested in my field. He referred me to Golden Valley or New Hope - which is not within my target area. I will be inquiring with other leasing agents or will more than likely buy commercially to open this business in the NW suburbs.
