Review content:
We went to Hearthstone this summer, after a rough couple of days together. I was hopeful if we got all dressed up, and went to what was supposedly Breckenridge's ""most romantic place"" we would be able to get back on track with each other. While the food was superb, and the wine list great, Hearthstone is certainly NOT romantic. We were wearing moderately dressy clothes, and were easily the most dressed people there--I was taken aback by the kind of noisy bar atmosphere on the first floor, and the ""blue jeans and t-shirts"" most folks had on. I KNOW this is Summit COunty, but isn't there ANYWHERE that people care about how they look? However, the food was absolutely WONDERFUL, and the service attentive but not overwhelming. The other thing that was very appealing was the fair price--I am used to paying MUCH higher prices in Summit for this level of food. I suppose in the end, what made this place special for us, was the location in Breckendridge, and the cozy feel of the victorian house setting. Pros: Price! Reasonable "prixe-fixe" especially for Summit County Cons: Crowded, noisy, a little too casual for price
