Review content:
I had high-hopes for this place. I've had Sushi all over the country and was hoping this place not to far from my place of work would be somewhere I could return to for my sushi fix over and over.
Upon entering I was surprised to see perhaps one of the shabbiest Sushi restaurants I've ever been into. This place really needs an update bad. It was shortly after noon but I was one of three people in the restaurant with three staff. I had my choice of tables which were scuffed and sticky and appear to be many many years old. The sushi menu was also sticky and made me uncomfortable to even hold it. I stuck with what I like most as a first try; Sushi Rolls. The california roll boasted Crab, Avocado and Tobiko. Sounds good. Spicy Scallop roll, one of my favorites. Lastly the Unagi roll topped with Avocado. The service was good and pretty quick although the waitress apologized for the wait. The California roll at $8.50 you would think would have real crab. Nope. The menu made no mention of Krab or imitation crab. It was not very good. The Unagi Roll was generously covered with avocado and delicious at $12.50. The Scallop roll was very spicy with just the Scallop and hot sauce inside. I think mixing the sauce with a bit of mayo would be a nice touch and possibly some tobiko. Instead it had sesame seeds which I didn't really like.
Unfortunately the condition of the restaurant itself is a big turnoff for me. Certainly no place I would invite friends to. If the prices weren't so high maybe this could be overlooked to some extent but the combination leads me to a big - no recommend.
