Jakes is a true gem of old Portland, elicting the feel of both an upscale restaurant and a neighborhood pub. The seafood is always fresh, and intelligently prepared. A good blend of favorite standbys like the stuffed salmon, as well as an interesting fresh sheet that blends with the seasons. The wine list is unique, with a Northwest bent, but excellent selections from around the world. Highly recommended
