I had PRK done a year ago (June 2006) at Kornmehl Laser Eye Associates. Let me begin by just saying that I went to two other places before going to Dr. Kornmehl. Not only did I feel like ""just a number"" at the other places but I wasn't as thrilled about the atmosphere. I like to feel welcomed and cared about when going somewhere that I may potentially spend thousands of dollars at. When I walked in Dr. Kornmehl's office, everything about it was great. I loved how it was not only a beautiful office but it was so calming and soothing. His staff was extremely nice and willing to ask any questions before meeting him. After meeting with Dr. Kornmehl, I was very happy about the fact that he was very honest about his expectations and his findings. He told me my eyes were extremely dry and even had some tests run and inserted plugs!!! The other places didn't even mention my dryness. I instantly knew after my consult that I wanted Dr. Kornmehl to perform the surgery. I felt so assured that he was the doctor I was looking for. A year later I see great and do not regret one bit going to Dr. Kornmehl. The post-op experience was great as well. He was very caring and wanted several follow up visits with me not only to check on my healing but on the dryness of my eyes. I would rcommend him to anyone interested in Lasik and especially PRK.
