Businiess name:  Philips Arena

Review content:
The old Omni, with it's goofy waffle-iron outside and lack of corporate attachment, at least had some charisma. Philips Arena, yet another venue named after electronics company, still seems squeaky clean and new, even though it's been around a while. I hate seeing concerts in any forum that's bigger than say, the Tabernacle, but in all honestly, Philips isn't that bad. Whether you're catching a hockey game, the Hawks or Pearl Jam, there's hardly a bad seat in the (giant) house. (I can't say the same for the Dome.) The last two concerts I caught were The Boss and Black Eyed Peas, who's shows seemed perfect for an arena. Food and beer is your usual event pricing and parking is the pain-in-the-ass we Atlantans have come to expect from Downtown. Despite all this, I'll take the charm of the old Omni any day. Pros: New and clean Cons: It's an arena
