DO NOT CONSIGN WITH CLOTHES FOR KIDS! I have had the worst experience consigning there. The last time I brought in clothes was in February, and I just got paid on August 17. That is longer than the 120 days I was told. Roxanne didn't even want to give me my money. She told me she didn't have any cash! Who runs a retail store without cash? Every time I have been to her store she never has cash to pay. After arguing for about 5 mimutes, she finally gave me a check. She didn't want to because it was less than 30 dollars. I know she wanted me to get merchandise instead of cash, but my daughter didn't need anything. As a consigner I should not feel pressure to do trade instead of getting paid for my consighnments. I went ahead and pulled my remaining clothes from her shelves. I had one item that was missing, which was the case in January too. She couldn't find one of my Christmas outfits that was brand new with tags. Who know what is happening to clothes in that store! That store is not run professtionally. Tags are cut off of clothes when purchased and put in a bowl on the counter. Tags can get lost that way or her cat could get ahold of one and play with it. Then you wouldn't get paid. I now consign at Crayon's Resale. This store is run by two professional women who are very knowledgeable and helpful. The tags are scanned into a computer and left on the clothing, so you know the tags aren't getting lost and you are getting paid for your consignments. You can even get paid by check every 30 days. I don't know about you, but I prefer to get paid every 30 days instead of every 120. I wish I had known about Crayons Resale before consigning at Clothes for Kids!
