I live just around the corner from Double Crown, so I've been going regularly since it opened something like 2 years ago. So many new restaurants have since opened on the Bowery, but Double Crown is by far my favorite, where I know I'll have the most consistent experiences. The food is really solid. My favorites are the their fries (ok, they cheat, there's chinese sausage in the fries, yuuum!), the steam buns, the laksa (best in town, hands down) and the short ribs (not sure where they get them from, these are the biggest, juiciest short ribs!). Desserts are really excellent too, seasonal and innovative. Brunch is also great, lovely to sit outside on a warm summer day...
Cocktails are also good, but I tend to opt for wines, they have a nice selection of hard to find natural/organic/biodynamic wines that are really great.
I'm a big fan, never been disappointed!
