For the forty years I've lived near Walled Lake, Melvins Hardware has been the go-to place for any and all hardware, plumbing, electrical, gadget and paint needs in this community. Their history as a 'small town independent' hardware store gives them an edge over any other store of its type. They have retained the friendly, knowledgeable local staff as well as stocking a number of obscure bits and pieces that include just about anything I ever need. Their years of service to this community far outweigh one disgruntled customer's battery issue. They have stayed in business this long because they are, quite simply, GREAT!
