Businiess name:  Thai Diner At Vinnings

Review content:
There is no doubt that the food at Thai Diner is one of the best in the city and keeps loyal customers like us returning for years. However if you happen to order an appetizer with mucoid smelly shrimp in it, make sure to never ask for a different roll or point it out to the hostess and owner because she will turn on you no matter how politely you word it. Infact when such an instance occurred with us we just let it go until she came by to our table to find out how the food was. At that point being that we had been coming to the restuarant for years and knew Pam we told her that the basil roll tasted a little different. She looked perturbed and said she would look into it. Then returned from the kitchen promptly and claimed she had tasted the peice of roll which I had spat out (into a piece of tissue discreetly) and that the shrimp tasted ""just fine."" At this point though we were taken aback with her behavior it felt like a bad episode of Seinfeld we decided to just let it go! However, only to find that she had charged us for the basil rolls that we had not eaten. When we tried to delicately bring this to our waitress's knowledge thinking it was a simple mistake she shot us a look and Pam came by and stated that since there was nothing wrong with the rolls that we should pay for it. This after going to Thai Diner at least three times a week for years and all of it over a meagre basil roll! While the food there is excellent the hostess and owner Pam needs a refresher course on customer service!
