Review content:
My daughter was passing through town, hit a rock and split her oil tank. She had it towed after hours and the tow truck driver recommended Mike's. The shop called in the morning and quoted $1045 to replace the tank. We called 4 other shops in the area and got estimates from $450 to $550. The dealer price in Denver to replace the tank was $585. When we showed up to tow the car to a place for a more reasonably priced repair, the manager, JC, wanted to charge us a $30 diagnostic charge. For looking under the car and seeing a giant hole in the tank? When I started to explain that their estimate was more than double where I was taking it, JC said he would take the diagnostic fee off. It looked a bit like Mike's was trying to take advantage of a stranded motorist. To JC's credit, he did call me after I left the shop to apologize. He said that what happened made them look like cheats, but he assured me that is not how they do business. You can be the judge.
