Review content:
John Street Cafe is by far the best restaurant in St. Johns and is on a par with most other quality places you go in Portland. I've never had a bad meal there. The breakfasts are unghodly good and the pancakes are a religious experience for some. Lunches are innovative, fresh and delicious and in all things they use excellent ingredients. They have unusual hours and between this and the fact that I'm a very late riser on weekends, I don't go there for breakfast as often as I go other places, but I wish I did. Service is always good, thought they are often really busy on weekends and tough to get in to. I've waited for a table most times I've been there on a weekend. Everything is good. People who visit us that we take there cannot believe we are hiding this place away from the rest of Portland. Once discovered it becomes an excuse for friends and business associates to come to our neck of the woods. We're lucky to have them. Pros: just about everything Cons: unusual hourse and sometimes hard to get in
