This review is about CCU branches other than the one in Battle Ground. I have handled deposits for many different organizations over the years with other banks. Never have I dealt with a bank that is as frustrating to deal with as Columbia Credit Union. Their commercials seem to talk about wanting to put the customer first, but I have experienced none of that. I understand the need for accuracy, but no other bank teller has ever made me stand there while they closely examined each check and added them up on an adding machine even though I had gone to the trouble to run 2 identical adding machine tapes for them! I asked today, ""what if I had 100 checks?"" The teller told me she would still have to examine them and add them. No other bank teller has made me get out of the line to go to the coin machine to run my (small amount of) coin through, wait for the machine to print out a ticket, then get back in line before they will process my deposit. No other bank teller has refused to give me a computer generated deposit slip because I am not a signer on the account. Signator or not, it is my job to make the deposits (on my lunch hour), and waiting for a hand written slip takes more time. This is NOT good customer service. To me this is tellers who are too afraid of getting in trouble because an error in math got past them.
