Businiess name:  AATCO Transmission & Transaxle

Review content:
This is one honest transmission shop!! I had taken my vehicle to a transmission shop about two miles away from Aatco for a routine service of having the transmission fluid and filter changed. About an hour after dropping it off, I received a call from this shop telling me thing weren?t looking good for my transmission. Metal shrapnel and other metal deposit were seen in the pan, and that it was only a matter of time before my transmission would begin failing, and it would be best to have a rebuild performed before this happened. The transmission has been running fine for me; no hard shifting or any thing like that so I became skeptical. After reading the reviews here on city search, I called Tim, and explained the situation. He recommended I have the service completed, and bring it over for a second opinion, which I did. Tim?s staff test drove my vehicle, and told me the transmission was fine. They checked out the work the other transmission shop performed, and discovered that a pan bolt was busted off; there was no reading on the dip stick, and they didn?t replace the external filter. Tim?s team redid the service, drilled out and replaced the broken bolt at a very reasonable price. A small price one must pay for finding an honest shop!
