This apartment complex is absolutely horrid! If I could give them no stars, I would! Upon moving in, we have had severe problems with our unit, and we have gotten NOTHING from the property management. Unfortunately we signed a lease to reserve an apartment that became available during our specified time-frame, which I will never make the mistake to do again. The unit they gave us was disgustingly filthy and in disrepair. The management had told us they sent contractors in twice to ""clean"" before we moved in, but I haven't a clue as to what they actually ""cleaned."" Both bathroom toilets were stained and splattered with excrements and mildew, the shower and soap dish had mold growing in the grout. The property manager contradicted us to our face that we ""weren't supposed to call it MOLD!"" when we went in to file a report about it. She condescendingly asked the maintenance man in front of us if it had turned out to be mold when he came back from re-grouting, and he basically confirmed that it was. All of the baseboards had a half-inch of dust, dirt, and insect carcasses on them. The laundry room floor was covered in a layer of grease, dirt, and trash. It is so filthy that you can't even see the pattern of the tiles! The washer and dryer that came with the unit was broken (still is partially!), and the dishwasher gave our dishes a nice sauna, but did not clean them. We signed the lease in June. The apartment became available in August of 2010. We moved in officially at the middle of September 2010. The carpets, we found out later, were infested with fleas from the former tenants. My 9 month old baby was eaten alive by them during the night, and woke up with tons of bites on her shoulder, neck, and chest. It took them 3 weeks to get someone to come out and spray, which meant that we were displaced from our residence during that time, having to PAY RENT!! They finally came out to fix our washer and dryer on Christmas Eve! That is all that they have fixed. Just recently our downstairs was flooded. We had a major leak with a pipe from the bathroom toilet. This will be day THREE, and they still have yet to send someone out to look at what happened and fix the problem. Our water heater thermostat has been broken since the day we moved in, and it is still not fixed. I'm afraid to give my baby a bath because she might be scalded. I know I have about every time I take a shower! They still have yet to come in and clean the laundry room, and replace the air filter after they came out to fumigate, so why am I not surprised that they haven't come to look at the flood damage? We want out of this apartment complex so badly, we are strongly considering even breaking our lease we are that desperate! We will be filing a legal complaint with the city, and if we have to go to court, we will go to court. I will never recommend anyone to move into this complex, and I would highly advise anyone looking to rent here to definitely look elsewhere. Just save yourself the headache and frustration!
