Review content:
Tonight, May 21st, 2011, I will celebrate one year of sobriety with the friends and family I was sure that I had lost forever. I, in my heart of hearts, attribute this past amazing year to the wonderful people at Aminokit Labs and the incredible Aminokit process. For ten years I was either drinking and drugging or completely isolated from reality in a 30 day, 90 day, or even 6 month program. I had completed very expensive programs in Estes Park, Colorado. I had completed ""Slave Labor"" programs in Grand Junction, Colorado. Regardless of their price or how nice the living conditions were, the treatment was basically the same. I had learned the same tools of sobriety and practiced them over and over. Yet, as soon as I was reintroduced to society I found myself worse off than the time before. I NEVER felt able to PHYSICALLY exist without a mind-altering substance. Aminokit was the ONLY place that directly addressed the physical craving that overwhelmed me and overtook my sobriety. I have never experienced a more compassionate and understanding staff. This year has passed by so fast that I wouldn't have even known had the program director not called to check on me the other day. The therapists focused on my specific issues individually. More importantly for me, the individual attention was also focused on the BIOCHEMICAL aspects of my addiction. The constant feeling of needing to have a drink or a drug in me to feel normal was gone within days. I honestly felt like I was breathing for the first time in my life, and that feeling is gone to this day. As for cost, it was on the low end of what I had spent on the programs that simply didn't work. I feel it was priceless. I literally feel I would be dead had I not gone through Aminokit.
