Where to begin! First, the entire hotel was under contruction, which included painting. I suffer from debilitating migraines and paint fumes and large amounts of dust set my migraines off. This should have been disclosed on the website, even the third party website should have been made aware of this. When we arrived in our room, and noticed the feces or vomit spread on the inside of the toilet bowl, we called the front desk and the man working seemed very put out that at 9:30pm he had to come clean a toiet bowl. We went and bought toilet seat covers due to the dirtiness we fell upon with the toilet. Trust me, that is the last thing you want to do when you began your day's travel at 4am California time. We flew in to Austin from California., and this was the first day of our trip. When we woke up, to more horror, we discovered we had huge bed bugs. My mother-in-law was actually bitten by them several times during the night. She was bitten so hard there was actually blood on the sheets. I understand bed bugs are a proble, but they are treatible. The coffee was very cold at 7am. The front desk staff did not seem to care when we asked fro fresh coffee while we waited for the manager. After what we had been thru, it really didn't suprise that the girl at the front desk didn't care about the coffee. The manager was the best part of the hotel. I do not remeber his name. he was very apologetic and did not charge us for the one night stay. I will NEVER recommend a Red Roof Inn, in any city, to anyone I know.
