HIP has been an experience living in, and not a good one at that. Their policies appear to be as standard as any other apartment company, but after living in an apartment owned by them, I will never do so again. I have been living in one for 9 months now. All of the windows in the apartment leaked when we first moved in, and began growing mold. maintenance has looked at the worst window 2 times now, and have still not fixed it, and instead did a cosmetic cover-up job for the mold problems. Mold has also appeared on walls around our water heater closet, and kitchen walls. (where the water came from inside the utility closet is a mystery, as the heater was not broken).
