Review content:
My husband and I recently remodeled our master bath. We wanted nice granite vanities to finish off the new tile floors, shower and bath. We found the perfect color at Pro Stone and placed our order. When they installed our vanities (we have two 61" vanities in our bath), we noticed a lot of pitting in the stone, making it look spotted and dirty. We immediately called and expressed our dissatisfaction. They stood behind their product and placed a new order for us. Two weeks later they delivered two new tops. We inspected the tops and declined to accept them, as they too were pitted. At this point, they suggested we go directly to the warehouse and choose our own granite slabs, which we did. A week later our new tops were delivered and installed. Guess what? Still pitted, not a smooth surface as I was expecting. This time we were told that the pitting occurs AFTER the polishing (which means we wasted our time even picking out our tops, as they had not yet been polished). We were also told (after the fact) that pitting is common in certain colors, and the color we chose just happened to be one of those colors. So, needless to say, we are now stuck with these vanity tops. We are retired and will probably never be able to afford to remodel our bath again. Our plans for a dream bathroom turned into a nightmare. Educate yourself on granite before purchasing and definitely find a dealer who will help educate you beforehand, so you don't end up being stuck with a product you are unhappy with.....as we are.
