Businiess name:  Ben's Delicatessen

Review content:
Need to exercise balanced when you're evaluating a place like Ben's. Fine dining, it ain't. It also doesn't pretend to be. You get hot, better-than-cafeteria meals like pot roast, pork chops, meat loaf, whole- and half-roast chicken, stuffed cabbage, soups and sides that are bigger and cheaper than you'd ever expect. On top of that, you've got a short-order breakfast menu that includes eggs, meat, pancakes and waffles (better batter, BTW, than the chains); AND a hoagie/sandwich menu that's as good as any. (Ben Witkosky insisted that a REAL Italian hoagie included aged provolone. Period. You could order it different, but then it wasn't a Ben's Italian Hoagie). Lotta folks love their potato salad; couple might not, but that's a matter of style. Maybe Jason F., others, need more perspective. This isn't the place to find 12 different styles of sliced ham or turkey. If you want Katz's, you gotta go to Katz's. (Where, BTW, they might not tell you they have more than one quality of brisket.)
