Review content:
A few years ago I was training for the Breast Cancer 3-Day (60 miles over 3 days). I knew I needed the best possible shoes I could find since I'm not "HWP"and would be using them constantly so I went to J&J. I was pretty much ignored while other people (seek, slender, sinewy people) were waited on. I approached someone for help and got very little advice which I really needed. I finally bought what seemed best and got horrible blisters so I took them back, which is their policy but they were pretty rude about it. I've heard similar reports about the difference in service from older women and other people who appear to be less in shape. I went to the Seattle Running Company in Capitol Hill next and it was night and day! I got more advice than I could possibly use, a stride analysis and the feeling that they wouldn't let me choose a shoe that wouldn't take care of me. They were supportive and friendly and I've been going their ever since.
